Updated to Tiki 1.10CVS
Some glitches expected
By: Gary  on: Tue, 11 of Dec, 2007 23:31 EST  (1173 Reads)
This site is now using the development branch of Tiki software, version 1.10. This version has many new features including tags (folksonomy freetags), a WYSIWYG editor, Ajax functionality, and a long list of other things. With Zukakakina upgraded, new themes in development will be targetting the 1.10 official release, which should be available before long.
Fluid Index theme released for Tiki
From WordPress
By: Gary Cunningham-Lee  on: Tue, 23 of Oct, 2007 00:05 EST  (1439 Reads)
New theme
An adaptation of the Fluid Index theme done originally for WordPress blogs is available now for Tiki CMS/Groupware. The theme is another one using the *litecess layout method. It features some neat styling details on blog pages in particular. The theme files can be downloaded from themes.tikiwiki.org; the current version has been tested with Tiki up to version 1.9.8.1. Update: Fluid Index has been updated for TikiWiki 1.10 beta and supports the new features in this latest Tiki release.

This site and themes.tikiwiki.org
After Zukakakina.com was started, the themes.tikiwiki.org site (cache) was begun as an official community center for TikiWiki CMS/Groupware theme design and distribution. Zukakakina will continue to be a place for Tiki theme experimentation and development but, generally, once I finish a theme, I will submit it to themes.tw.o for downloading. Support questions, etc., about those themes should be asked there, to keep the relevant information in one place. It is hoped that other people will also be submitting themes to themes.tw.o for sharing with all Tiki users.

My design goals
One of my purposes in making and adapting themes for Tiki is to push the limits on what a Tiki site can be, to come up with layouts that are distinctly different from others already available, and so on. This makes it interesting for me, and I hope others will find the themes interesting.

Personalization
There are pages here and at themes.tw.o discussing the different styles and how to personalize them for each site. My intention is to describe how to personalize each theme so it can be done by anyone with normal computer skills, etc. Most user-changeable graphic elements are specified in the style sheets, for example, rather than the templates, so customization can be done by editing the theme's CSS file alone, and uploading any new images needed. This is described in more detail on the individual theme pages.

Also see the pages and forums at themes.tikiwiki.org for released themes.

Gary, 00:50 EST, Fri, 27 of Apr, 2007: cbb uses the box-method author's original graphics, which aren't meant for distribution. I used them for testing, but the theme isn't intended to be shared with these graphic files. I'm replacing them soon. Check the Zuka theme for the cbb method.
